Members of BACD Strategic Research Group

Physiotherapy rep vacancies - deadline 3 July 2017
We are seeking two physiotherapists to join the multidisciplinary Strategic Research Group (SRG). The SRG is committed to activity that advances paediatric neurodisability research in the UK. Through the SRG, BACD has strong collaborations with networks of clinical academics, the Castang Foundation, and NIHR.

Successful candidates will have some of the following: good skills in strategic research thinking, strong national professional connections, a vision for research within neurodisability (within physiotherapy and beyond). In considering applications we try to ensure the SRG has wide geographical representation. We are looking to identify physiotherapists who undertake clinically relevant paediatric neurodisability research in an NHS or University setting (applicants may be clinically qualified, or not):

  • Experienced clinical academic physiotherapists with an established track record of research relating to clinical paediatric neurodisability. However, we recognise there are few people in this speciality at this level
  • We are also interested to receive applications from physiotherapists with a PhD or an MSc who are actively leading or delivering clinical paediatric neurodisability research

Applicants should:
1. Be a member of BACD (or become one if appointed)
2. Be leading research, or be very active, in current paediatric neurodisability research projects
3. Be familiar with the UK research environment
4. Have time to take forward tasks related to delivering the aims of the group
