Paediatric Disability Distance Learning Courses

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust (SCH) and the British Academy of Childhood Disability (BACD) have established a new partnership to deliver web-based distance learning courses to professionals supporting disabled children and young people and their families.

BACD members received a discount on fees.

Paediatric Neurodisability Diploma

This is a two-year part-time distance learning course. You will study twelve subject units, delivered in four clinical modules, covering the many aspects of paediatric disability. This complements the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) Paediatric Neurodisability Level 3 Training Programme. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded a Diploma from the British Academy of Childhood Disability.

The course is relevant to all doctors currently providing paediatric care for disabled children and young people. All grid trainees in paediatric disability are encouraged to take the course as it complements the grid training programme and provides a useful framework to gain the expected competencies.
