In summer 2023 the RCPCH Progress+ launched an updated, two-level paediatric training programme in the UK.

Paediatricians start in core training and then move on to specialty training, when some choose to apply to train in a paediatric sub-specialty, such as paediatric neurodisability. Specialty trainees are expected to complete both the ‘Generic Specialty Level’ syllabus and the sub-specialty syllabus, for example ‘Paediatric neurodisability sub-specialty syllabus’, evidenced through an e-Portfolio.

British Academy of Childhood Disability is registered in England and Wales under charity number 1177868
