Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology (DMCN) is a multidisciplinary journal that has defined the fields of paediatric neurology and childhood-onset neurodisability for over 60 years
Owned by Mac Keith Press, DMCN is of interest to researchers, all health professionals concerned with developmental disability and child neurology, and others involved with the care of children and young people. The high quality of published articles is maintained by expert review, including independent statistical assessment, before acceptance.
BACD members are eligible for reduced subscription rates to DMCN, which are in addition to BACD membership. For the 2021 subscription period (January-December) this is £100 - subscribers will receive each edition (12 per year) in print, and also be provided with online access.

DMCN Podcasts
DMCN publishes a lively programme of podcasts, featuring interviews and discussions with authors, editors and reviewers
- Editor’s Podcasts present a conversation between one of DMCN’s editors and an invited guest on a theme drawn from a recent editorial. These podcasts seek to facilitate conversations between different disciplines and specialisms.
- Author’s Podcasts invite DMCN authors to offer a brief introduction to a recently published paper. The authors outline the paper’s methods, findings, and implications.
